Praktikrejsen:
Professionalism and Community

Strengthen your Quota 2 application · Support a local clinic · Take the trip of a lifetime

We combine volunteer work, healthcare experience, and internships so that you, as a young person , can grow professionally, explore Morocco with other young people, and make a difference in the local community. With us, you’ll become part of a local healthcare team, where you’ll provide both physical and mental support to children and young people while enhancing your professional profile—something that strengthens both your resume and your quota 2 application.

But Praktikrejsen just about work. You’ll also get experiences, adventures, and a sense of community: surfing along the coast, yoga, market visits, and fun times with the other young people on the program. Your commitment also contributes to the centers we partner with, so your stay will be meaningful both for you and for those you’re helping to support.

Reasons to travel with us

  • You’ll become part of a local healthcare team, gain professional experience, and see how things work in a new culture—all while exploring Morocco’s beaches, markets, and adventures alongside other young people.

  • Your presence provides physical and emotional support to children and young people. Your actions make a difference while you learn and grow—both professionally and personally.

In addition, you contribute financial support to our nonprofit partner organization. This means you help maintain and develop the centers and facilities.

  • After your placement, you will receive two certificates—one from Praktikrejsen one from the clinic—confirming your international experience. These certificates can be included on your resume, in your Quota 2 application, and when applying for further studies.

The team and the idea behind Praktikrejsen

Our names are Joachim and Vilhelm, and we are the founders of Praktikrejsen.

We are both licensed physical therapists who graduated from the Copenhagen University of Applied Sciences, and we have personally benefited greatly from internships and working with children and young people with disabilities abroad.

At Praktikrejsen , the week Praktikrejsen simple:
Weekdays are spent at the clinic. On weekends, some people go on trips around Morocco. Others play volleyball, go surfing, or find a place to eat together. Some go out on the town—others stay home.

No one is in charge of everything through some big, mandatory program. It’s all about freedom within a safe environment. Pretty soon, you start taking responsibility yourself, coming up with ideas, and shaping your experience together—and that really makes a difference. Both academically and personally.

The best part is seeing young people set off, encounter a new culture, and throw themselves into something they’re not quite sure how it will turn out—only to come away with experiences, friendships, and lessons that last far beyond their stay. For many, it provides fantastic experience for their college applications, résumés, and future studies.

A big thank you to everyone who has been here, is here right now—and to those of you who are joining us. You’re the ones who make this special. 🧡

What We Believe In

Values and Goals

With Praktikrejsen , you Praktikrejsen an internship, healthcare experience, and volunteer work. You’ll develop your professional skills, explore Morocco alongside other young people, and contribute to the local community—a journey that offers new perspectives, lasting memories, and valuable experience for the future.

  • When you travel, you step into other people’s daily lives. Approach people and cultures with humility, reflect rather than judge, and be curious without being condescending. This applies to healthcare systems, societies, and daily routines alike. Participants should be open-minded, responsible, and ready to learn—not to change things, but to understand them.

  • It’s not just about the destination, but about how you travel and what your stay contributes. Praktikrejsen longer stays with educational content and local engagement, so that resources and payments benefit the local community. For those who prefer slower travel, we offer train and ferry options, and all destinations can be reached within two days.

  • At Praktikrejsen , you Praktikrejsen an intern, not a traditional volunteer. Your role is to learn, observe, and contribute where it makes sense. In some places, you’ll actively help; in others, you’ll observe and reflect on the practices—it’s an exchange, not a task.

  • We offer young people insight into healthcare work and human relations in a global context. You will be challenged—and perhaps shaken—but you’ll return home with greater understanding, professional expertise, and perspective. The journey serves as both a supplement to your studies and career and an opportunity for personal growth.

  • The real impact becomes apparent when you take the journey seriously and use your experiences to shape your attitudes, academic choices, and practices back home. You gain new perspectives, academic insights, and an understanding of global inequality and health.

  • You’ll become part of several communities: with other participants, local partners, and the people you meet. We create an environment where you can share experiences, support one another, and engage in daily life in the local community. Community is the foundation that makes the journey meaningful.

  • The journey challenges your assumptions and reveals systems and priorities that don’t align with your usual standards. The goal isn’t to find answers, but to ask better questions and gain a deeper understanding.

  • A meaningful exchange is all about reciprocity: both you and the people you meet benefit from the encounter. Your observations can help the local community, while you yourself learn the most from the exchange. Respect and honesty are always the foundation.
