You'll be staying in a newly renovated villa with other young people from Praktikrejsen just a few minutes from the beach.
It offers a relaxed atmosphere, lovely outdoor spaces, a rooftop terrace, common areas, and spacious rooms.

Transportation between your home and the internship site is included on internship days, so you don’t have to worry about logistics in the morning.
In addition, Praktikrejsen works Praktikrejsen taxi drivers who, in their spare time, offer our participants rides from A to B at an affordable price.

As a traveler with Praktikrejsen great discounts at cafés, attractions, surf lessons, and many other activities in the local area.

You will become part of a local, government-funded nonprofit organization and gain real insight into working with children and young people with physical and intellectual disabilities.
You will generally be at the centers four days a week and will be part of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals—not as a visitor, but as an integral part of their daily routine.
In addition to regular internship days, there will be professional presentations on various healthcare specialties.

The residence regularly organizes various activities and outings.
Surfing, yoga, communal meals, weekend trips, and spontaneous adventures.
Some activities are free—others cost a small fee. Everything is always completely voluntary, and you decide for yourself what you want to participate in.

You have access to laundry facilities in the residence, making your daily life easier.
There is a washing machine available for your use, and you can hang your laundry on the drying racks in the sun.

We’ll prepare you before you leave with introductory meetings, support you during your stay, and help you reflect on your experience afterward, if you’d like.

Things to know before signing up
If you’d like to join a placement with Praktikrejsen, start by telling us a little about yourself. Please briefly describe your background, your expectations for the placement, and the timeframe and duration you have in mind.
We have 14 spots on each group, and the placements are open to students, gap-year students, and others seeking experience in the health and social services sector. If you’re a student looking for an internship as part of your education, you’re also welcome to contact us —in many cases, the placement can be tailored to fit your academic schedule.
We operate with fixed 4-week sessions, where all participants arrive on the same day and return home together. This creates a very special sense of community! You can choose between 4 weeks or 8 weeks. If you choose 8 weeks, you combine two consecutive sessions and gain an even deeper professional and personal experience. Apply
After you register, you will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours. The email will contain further details about your stay, as well as instructions for paying a reservation deposit of 1,500 DKK. Your spot will not be reserved until the deposit has been paid.
The deposit will, of course, be deducted from the total cost of the stay. The remaining balance for the stay is due 2 months prior to departure.
