Safety and Responsibility

Study Abroad

A placement with Praktikrejsen an opportunity to travel with a purpose—but it also requires responsibility and preparation. Here you’ll find important information about safety, travel responsibilities, and how to best prepare for a safe and successful internship in Morocco.

Insurance and Health

All participants are required to have valid travel insurance that covers their entire stay in Morocco—including illness, injury, theft, and repatriation if necessary. Be sure to check with your insurance company to confirm that your policy covers internships and volunteer work abroad.

  • You are responsible for ensuring that you have received the recommended vaccinations before entering Morocco. You can read more about vaccinations at: www.sikkerrejse.dk

  • Please bring proof of your insurance and your insurance company's emergency number

  • Consider creating a brief health note with information about, for example, allergies, blood type, medications, or chronic conditions

Safety and Travel Preparation

Morocco is generally a safe and friendly place to visit, but as always, it is recommended that you exercise caution and stay informed.

We recommend:

  • That you participate in our preparation and orientation session, either in person or online, so that you arrive well-prepared

  • That you download the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Rejseklar app and sign up for the Danskerlisten

  • Please readtheU.S. Department of State’stravel advisoryfor Morocco before departure

  • Make sure you have your travel documents in order and have a copy of your passport and important contact information

  • That you download Maps.me or another app for offline navigation

The role of the internship program as a facilitator

Praktikrejsen as an intermediary between you and our local partners in Morocco. We handle communication, coordination, and arrangements—but we are not a travel agency and are not responsible for the trip itself.

This means that you are personally responsible for your own transportation, travel insurance, and health matters during the trip. We are, of course, available to offer advice and guidance, but it is your own responsibility to ensure you have adequate coverage in case something unexpected happens.

Practical responsibility

All participants must be at least 18 years old at the time of departure and are expected to be able to take responsibility for themselves—both in everyday situations and in the event of unforeseen circumstances. Praktikrejsen held liable for any illness, accidents, injuries, or losses that may occur during the stay.

Feel free to contact us anytime if you have any questions—we’re happy to provide guidance so you feel well-prepared.
