You’ll observe, participate, and learn through your daily experiences, gaining insights that few people get to experience during a gap year.

You will experience the collaboration between various professional groups, such as physical therapists, psychologists, speech-language pathologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. They work side by side to create the best possible environment for the children—both professionally and personally.
This will give you an understanding of how interdisciplinary collaboration works in practice, and how relationships, communication, and responsibility play a crucial role in working with people.

Psychology
At the centers, psychologists work regularly with children and adolescents, both individually and in groups. As a participant, you’ll have the opportunity to observe how they address well-being, behavior, and relationships—and gain an honest insight into what it means to providemental and emotional support.
Rehabilitation
Du kommer tæt på det daglige arbejde med træning, kommunikation og udvikling. Her samarbejder fysioterapeuter og psykomotorikere (Det er kombinationen af fysioterapi og psykomotorik, som udgør ergoterapeutens job) om at styrke funktioner og færdigheder.
Medicine & Health
Én gang om ugen er der besøg af en læge på klinikken og der er til tider tilknyttet en frivillig sygeplejerske. Du vil få indblik i, hvordan daglig omsorg kombineres med sundhedsfaglige vurderinger – og hvordan medicinsk støtte indgår som en naturlig del af det samlede forløb omkring den enkelte.
